How to Join an Event (RSVP) on Cohart
Overview
Joining an event (RSVP) tells the organizer you plan to attend, without buying anything. It exists so organizers can gauge interest and plan, and so you can keep track of events you care about and change your mind later. It is for attendees — anyone with a Cohart account browsing the Events page. Your RSVP shows on the event cards and the event detail page, where the Going button reflects your current choice, and it sits alongside the Invite and Share actions you can use to bring others along. It does not buy a ticket: ticketed events still require checkout through the Tickets box. By the end of this guide you will have an active RSVP on the event, which you can switch between Going and Maybe or cancel at any time.
Before you start
- A Cohart account you can sign in to — RSVP requires sign-in. No account yet? See How to Sign Up.
- Find the event first using the search field or the Upcoming events / All events and Event Type filters on the Events page.
- Note that RSVP alone does not buy a ticket. If the event sells tickets, complete checkout separately — see How to Buy an Event Ticket on Cohart.
- Effects to know: your response is saved to your account and reflected by the Going button on the event card and detail page, and organizers use RSVPs to gauge interest; you can change or cancel it at any time.
Steps
1. Sign in to Cohart
Sign in with your email address and password, or use Google or Apple.
2. Navigate to the Events page
After signing in, you land on your dashboard. Click Events in the left sidebar to open the Events page.
3. Browse available events
The Events page shows all available events in a card layout. Use the Upcoming events or All events filter to narrow the list. You can also sort by Event Date (Newest) or filter by Event Type. Use the search field to find events by title, location, artist, or gallery name.
4. RSVP to an event
On each event card, you will see RSVP buttons:
- Going — confirms you plan to attend
- Maybe — marks you as interested but not confirmed
- Invite — invite someone else to the event
- Share — share the event with others
Click Going to confirm your attendance.
5. Confirm your RSVP
After clicking Going, your RSVP is recorded immediately. The button state updates to reflect your selection. You can change your RSVP at any time by clicking Maybe or clicking Going again to cancel.
6. View event details (optional)
Click on an event card to open the event detail page. Here you can see full event information, including:
- Exhibitors — list of participating exhibitors
- Artworks — artworks featured at the event
- Feed — event updates and posts
- Map & Directory — venue map and attendee directory
- Sponsors — event sponsors
- Check-In — check in when you arrive at the event
Tips
- You can switch between Going and Maybe at any time from the event listing.
- Use the search bar with keywords like the event title, location, artist name, or gallery name to find specific events quickly.
- If you are an organizer, click Create event at the top of the Events page to set up a new event.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t sign in with your password → use Forgot Password? on the login page → reset your password via email, then sign in again.
- Cannot RSVP because you have no account → RSVP requires a Cohart account → click Sign up on the login page to create one.
- Event not in the list → the Upcoming events / All events or Event Type filters may narrow it → widen the filters or search by title, location, artist, or gallery name.
